NetWorker Monitoring Benefits
Bocada automatically collects performance data on NetWorker backup jobs, storage usage, and policies. This enables near real-time reporting of backup failures and successes, byte counts, storage media volume counts, volume status, policy schedules, storage groups, and much more.

To begin your NetWorker integration with Bocada:

  • On the Bocada DCS running collections:
    •  Install the NetWorker Client (required for extended client)
    • Install the NetWorker Extended Client
  • Policy Collection: Verify SMB or SSH credentials to access the NetWorker server bin path:
    • Default Unix/Linux: /usr/sbin
    • Default Windows: c:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin
  • Verify required firewall ports have been opened
