Kim Read
Director of Operations
Kim is responsible for Human Resources, Legal and Facilities at Bocada. Kim started her career in philanthropy
and worked as the Annual Giving Manager for Evergreen Hospice and Healthcare Foundation. At that point in her
career she realized if she really wanted to be able to buy fabulous shoes and handbags she had to find a job
that paid better. That major realization pushed her into the legal world serving as a paralegal at AT&T
Wireless and later as the Director of Legal Services for drugstore.com. After 10 years of corporate life she
decided it was time to try out this whole start up thing and joined the Bocada team as one of its original members
who were working out of the basement of one of our founders’ homes. Her desire to venture back into the
world of philanthropy has become limited to being the art docent for elementary school kids, but there are days
when finger painting is just so much easier than working with adults.
Kathryn Otto
Director of Finance
Kathryn Otto (Katie) is responsible for all aspects of Financial Reporting and Accounting at Bocada. Prior to
joining the team in 2006, she focused on software revenue recognition at WatchGuard Technologies and aQuantive,
Inc. Katie began her finance career in public accounting at Deloitte. She earned a BA in Business/Accounting from
the University of Washington and is a licensed CPA in Washington. When not crunching numbers, Katie can be
spotted hiking in the Cascades, making homemade jam, and running the local streets with her dog, Tommy.
Tommy-Bocada
Director of Employee Well-Being
Tommy oversees the well-being of all employees at Bocada. Prior to joining the team, Tommy developed his
socialization skills at doggie day-camp, perfected his napping techniques, and also found time to play fetch
daily. Recently, Tommy decided to pursue a career in the business world as the Director of Employee Well-Being
at Bocada. Tommy is responsible for daily employee nuzzles, organizing hallway fetch sessions, and maintaining
an overall sense of calmness throughout the company. Outside of the office, Tommy enjoys running with his human,
chasing squirrels, swimming, and playing with his tennis ball.Top
